Tbilisi arrival

Airport transfer, briefing with your guide, first evening in the old town.

Day 2

David Gareja

Drive south-east to the cave monastery, walk the Udabno ridge, overnight in a village guesthouse.

Day 3

Into the reserve

Enter Vashlovani with a ranger, badlands and clay cliffs, first night at the edge of the park.

Day 4

The cliffs

Full day in the reserve — raptors, pistachio scrub, dry riverbeds and a long picnic.

Days 5-8

Takhti-Tepa & the floodplain

Mud volcanoes, the Alazani river woodland, early birding mornings and very slow afternoons.

Day 9

Road home

Early drive back to Tbilisi, day room, homeward flights.
