Beyond Kazbegi began in Tbilisi with one belief: the best trips aren't booked, they're built — slowly, locally, and from ground we have walked ourselves.
Our Story
It started with a missed marshrutka in the Kazbegi valley.
Our founder missed the last marshrutka out of Stepantsminda, took a room in a village guesthouse she had not planned on, and woke to first light on the Kazbek glacier. The detour became the trip — and the idea behind Beyond Kazbegi: journeys with enough intention to work and enough looseness to surprise.
Ten years on we are a small team of planners, drivers and mountain guides based in Tbilisi. We have slept in every guesthouse we recommend, walked every trail on our maps, and turned down more valleys than we sell — because local knowledge is the only kind worth paying for.
Today we design journeys across Georgia and the wider Caucasus for travelers who want more than a booking confirmation: couples on a first trip together, families with three generations in tow, and solo travelers who want the mountains with a safety net.
